Alas, I am too busy for anything but tiny boats these days.
But heck, tiny boats are cool! Enjoy.
There and back again? Well, now I'm here and back again. Been very busy, etc. But here's my dwarf fleet as it now stands:
Eight ships is pretty darn good for me! I've got more stuff to share soon, gotta update.
This time we tried out the ancient one hour rules, using some tiny little Sumerians I had lying around.
I've been doing lots of random things, just not writing them up here. So here's one of them random things.
I've had the tiny epic black powder guys for a bit but here's the problem: I don't like the black powder rules! But, as I think I've mentioned before, I do have and enjoy the one hour wargaming rules and so I set out to play the tiniest battle. I made some adjustments, halving all the distances and and adding a special rule where an officer nearby can allow one unit to reroll their casualty die once.
Who says you can't play a little game of Armada right on your dining room table?
Probably no one. I'm not sure where I was going with that. Anyhow, my dad and I played a little game of Armada on the dining room table. Enjoy this action shot. Look at that motion blur! Nothing more dramatic than measuring distances!
It was a fun game, though we didn't really finish, it was more about just spending some good time together. And that was a victory.
Been working a bit more with my Empire of Dust ships and I'm... still not happy.
I'm just not finding them much fun to paint! I wish that I was. There's just something about them (ok, it's mainly the sails) that I don't like.
One of these days I'll get a few more dwarf ships, those are just a joy to paint.
I've been pretty busy with either being sick or family holiday stuff, but I did get a chance to paint some minotaurs!
Not sure what I'm going to use them for but hey! Minotaurs. I just like 'em.
